Battlefiield 3 settings - Tuact

v300 was great for me ... EXCEPT that my thumbstick keeps cutting out and not working. I do not have this problem with any other FW; only v300. And it sucks because the mouse movement felt awesome but I could not move my character.

Reloaded the FW and it's working fine now... I've come to the realization that 100% of my problems with the controls are outside what this controller can address .... EA/Dice need to fix their own control profile so it's not so sluggish and "whippy"

I just can't use any settings I have tried so far! It worked fairly well with the eagle eye. In fact I would go as far as to say 95% good.

I just can't get the sensitivity working.

Yeah. I spoke too soon on my second post. Both BF3 FW's are really crappy. Decided to go back to MAG v203.

I'll give that a try as well

ukel, whats your settings for with the mag firmware? very curious since you say 203 is bad. i use 203, and its alright i think. hoping your settings with mag will be better than my 203 settings.

anybody have 203 settings that they things are really good?

i can confirm that im on MAG203 firmware running

Yeah, I was still having issues with my nunchuck dropping out (think it's a battery issue) and went to BFv203; being as how I only own Mac's and apparently Tuact can engineer a new Aimon Elite but can't find a half decent Mac developer to make Mac compatible update software....I can't go back to Mag until I can get ahold of a friends PC.... so i'll make do with BF3v203

tried your settings. i find the acceleration issue (small movements too small, large movements too large) is basically gone but micro-aiming doesn't feel as smooth as in bf3-203. but in some ways i actually like your settings better. reminds me of the feel of bfbc2, except faster.

i dropped the MS to 1.25 though. a bit too fast for me. i think i got too used to moving my mouse a lot to make larger movements, and this setting seems to be more similar to a mouse. so i may just have to adjust to it.

Its good to know im on to something! oh and since i posted last i kept all the same but dropped the ironsight sensitivity down a little as im unlocking longer distance weapons.

Im use to Unreal Tournement 3 deathmatches on PC where running around like you are on 'speed' is essential to not get killed. So its no wonder its a little quick for some people. Ive even had to tame it down from what i am use to as the ps3's graphics are lower than my pc, so i had to slow the mouse movement down to 1.50 else i cant see the enemy as they blur into the background! Its clearly a different game style too, so im having to get use to not running in all guns blazing but i think im finding a balence.

i tend to do small mouse movements rather than larger sweeping ones, i have quite big hands so i tend to grip the mouse with my fingers, with my arm resting on the surface and pull and push the mouse with my fingers alone (so my arm is always lay still) I found it to be a more acurate and repeatable way on the PC but i do find it a little limiting on the Aimon as it isnt as responsive..... im learning though

hey phipck, i added you on battlelog, it's possible that my name shows up as "shokukikai" as that is my EA ID.

i ended up reverting to BF3-203 because I seem to like the smoother mouse movement, but i can see why you dont like it. its a lot slower than MAG. however, the effect is that i got used to faster movement, so ive upped the mouse sensitivity of bf3-203 to 3.25. dz still 33.

i never really messed with the ADS on your MAG settings... i might try that as well later. i hate messing with ADS because there is no way to tell how much you have. i can't even tell if it is saving it or not.

Tuact, if you have ADS readout on Elite setup software, isn't it a simple thing to add it to the current Aimon PS setup software??

cheers for adding me, its really strange that battlelog doesnt let you know if someone has requested friendship? but i found you and have accepted so its all good.

I have to agree with you too, it would be very useful for us to be able to see our ADS setting as that is a large part of modern gaming. Without it all i can do is adjust the MS and the DZ then in game tweek the ADS till im happy bt then i cant share that with other AIMON PS customers..... which is a shame with such a great communicative community!

I spent a little time last night protecting the flag and suppressing as its not something i ever do and i wanted to get the feel for it, im still getting to grips with the sheer volume of weapons and tactics compared to my oldschool FPS experience. My accuracy rating took a big hit because of the suppressive fire which annoys me and also you dont get many kills or points protecting a flag.... so i think i'll not bother with that one so obsessively again, it will become a small element of my total tactical ability. I want to up my K/D also my accuracy rating so i think im going to have to go back to getting into the thick of it and only fire when im certain i have a clear line of sight.

on a positive note.... arent 'claymores' fun when you notice a repetetive path someone choose to take

After hours of testing bf3 settings and following all related topics on forum I must admit that Battlefield3 firmware definitely needs some improvements. I believe that most of people plays BF3 with MAG or Homefront firmwares as it works better. I currently play with MAG firmware as it's better than BF3 but still have some acceleration issues.
Are you going to release any new versions of firmware for BF3 or 203 is the best that your engineers could do?
